QA Specialist


General Summary:

One of America's leading online real estate companies needs an experienced QA Specialist to join its dynamic team. The QA Specialist will develop and manage the implementation of test strategies, as well as plan for various business applications and shared services software.

The ideal candidate will also create automated test scripts based on strategies and plans and provides estimates based on analysis of business and technical specifications. The QA Specialist will research trouble reports and assist the application development team identify the cause of the fault, recreating the problem scenarios when necessary.

In addition, the QA Specialist will coordinate end-to-end testing with remote systems, business partners, and/or third parties, as well as recommend new methodologies to enhance QA automation and testing operations. To ensure that our goals are accomplished on schedule, the QA Specialist will:

  • Perform front-end testing, including but not limited to, sign-in, permissions, usability, configurable functionality and layout.
  • Perform back-end testing that comprises writing and running SQL statements on the QA database to verify front-end functionality, generating test data, running simple to complex reports and validating the results of complex SQL statements.
  • Provide complete end-to-end and unit testing, from reviewing specs and writing test plans to performing project testing and regression.
  • Contribute to specification reviews, test planning, test case development, executing the tests, reporting bugs, regressing bugs, driving hotfixes to the live site and more.
  • Work closely with Software Developers and Project Managers to coordinate testing efforts and techniques to ensure quality releases.
  • Write and execute functional and regression test cases and scripts.
  • Review and edit test cases and scripts against technical requirements.
  • Review product specifications and find holes in features or problems with the integration of multiple features.
  • Write clear and concise bug reports.
  • Develop test documentation as required, including strategies, plans, summaries, test cases and test scripts.
  • Provide proactive status reports.
  • Contribute to QA process improvement.

Requirements:

To perform the essential duties of the QA Specialist position, an individual must:

  • Have 2-5 years experience working as a QA professional.
  • Be able to perform all QA functions for a project.
  • Describe what goes into a test plan and describe how to write a test plan
  • Look at design documents and talk to coworkers and peers knowledgably about them.
  • Understand the buying process from a consumer perspective (i.e. sign in, view, purchase and check out).
  • Share his or her strong background and experience with interactive testing products (Continuous Integration, Unit test, JUnit, etc.).
  • Possess strong Internet experience (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, etc.).
  • Be able to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills.

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent preferred, as well as and at least two years related experience or training.

General Summary:

The REO Real Estate Broker Advertising Sales Representative will be responsible for selling online advertising solutions to real estate agents on a national basis.

Requirements:

  • A successful track record of multimedia sales with one to three years experience
  • Understanding of real estate terminology (real estate experience a plus)
  • Superior knowledge of the functionality and landscape of Internet advertising and Search Engine Marketing (SEO)
